He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Perkins and Beatrice Peers Perkins; and his brother Willard Perkins. He is survived by: his wife Helen McGuire Perkins of Glasgow, KY; his stepchildren, Lisa Fosdick (Harry) of Chenoa, IL and Chad Kinser of Glasgow, KY; his stepgrandchildren, Thadd Fosdick (Alissa), Mariah Smith (Chris) and Micaela Fosdick; his great grandchildren, Hattie, Thea, Thane Fosdick and Silas Smith; and his siblings, Donnie Perkins (Carolyn), Ronnie Perkins (Rendy) and Barbara Hood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 8:00 AM at the McMurtrey Funeral Home (2232 Summer Shade Rd, Summer Shade, KY 42166). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home at 1020 Glenview Dr. Glasgow, KY.
