He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Maddix and Katherine Brown Maddix; his son Cleadith Ray Madix; and his siblings, Wanda Fultz, Charlene McEwen, Maxine Maddix, Larry Maddix, Charles Maddix, Cleadith Maddix, Johnny Maddix, Joe Rob Maddix, Kenny Maddix and Gary Maddix.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Zuvers Maddix; his daughter Tora; his son-in-law Norman Knight of Columbus, OH; his son Johnny Mehring Maddix of Montpelier; his daughter-in-law Judy Salyers; his sister Earnestine Tackett of Olive Hill, KY; his grandchildren, Adam James, Baby Charles Salyers, Austin Hayes, Angel Lynn and Chantelle Rose; his great grandchildren, Braylenn Ray, Aleah Rose and Breanna Nicole; and his close friends, Ollie and Jeanie Boggs. He is also survived by Nieces, Nephews, Relatives.
