He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmer Buel Murphy and Zula Vivian Philpot Murphy; and his son Brian Scott. He is survived by: his sister Barbara Ehrmann of Metamora, Illinois; his nephew Rick Weldon of Pekin, Illinois; and his nieces, Debra Lairson of East Peoria and Stephanie Cole (Walker) of Metamora, Illinois..
