It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steelie Scalf Jr. of Gray, Kentucky, born in Paintsville, Kentucky, who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Steelie S. Scalf and Sallie Elsie Brown Scalf; his grandparents, Floyd, Rosa Brown, Victor and Ollie Scalf; his son-in-law Ronnie Jordan; his siblings, Glen Scalf, Michael Scalf, Anna Lisa Scalf and Maxine Campbell; and his foster mother Wilma Engle Elliott.

He is survived by : his wife Sherri Scalf; his children, Amber Jordan, Kyle Smith of Gray and Nick Smith of Gray; his grandchildren, Trey, Aubrey, Conor, Adleigh and Ellie; his siblings, Leonard Ray Messer (Jeannie) of Kirbyville, TX, Dennis Pete Baker of Dewitt, KY, Irene Robertson (Dallas) of Corbin, Susie Helton (James) and Rebecca Stilwell (Charles) of Spring, TX; his son-in-law Mike Helton; and his close friend Jim Britton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
