She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert W. Hale and Ella Mae Hicks Hale; her husband Lawrence P. Sarpas; and her siblings, Kenneth Hale and Loretta "Faye" Stephens.
She is survived by: her sons, H. Wayne Deboard, Jr. (Lisa) of Washington and William L. Sarpas (Deana) of Indiana; and her grandchildren, Brennan M. Sarpas, William D. Sarpas, Lauren Deboard and Heidi M. Sarpas.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Malone Funeral Home (325 Malone Ln, Grayson, KY 41143). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Her passion for history and service was evident in her contributions to these groups, where she inspired others with her dedication and enthusiasm.
