It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Floyd Gilbert Jr. of Grayson, Kentucky, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd David and Edith Smith Gilbert; his son Mark Anthony Gilbert; and his siblings, Carroll Gilbert, Roy Gilbert, Carmen Sanford, Delores Scott and Helen Ruth Gilbert.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Louise Claxon Gilbert; his children, Mary Gilbert and Michael David Gilbert (Michelle); his brother Donald Gilbert; his siblings-in-law, Shelby Gilbert, Cleo Claxon, Helen M. Claxon and David Claxon; and his close friends, Bob and Linda Montgomery. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Malone Funeral Home (325 Malone Ln, Grayson, KY 41143). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
