He is survived by: his wife Virginia Jean Shaffer Slone; his children, Jeffrey Allen Slone (Megan) of Somerset, KY, Johnda Beth Slone of Grayson, Jeri Lynn Thomas (Quentin) of Grayson and Jina Tackett (Dean) of Grayson; his grandchildren, Jeremy Thomas (Rebecca), Shae Thomas, Gabe Slone (Amanda), Zack Slone, Trei Tackett (Whitley) and Madison Tackett (Duran Elmore); his great grandchildren, Inger Grace Slone, Knox Slone, Jax Slone, Kourtney Quinn Thomas, Cooper Brooks Thomas, Asher Dean Tackett, Jasper David Tackett, Greyson Miles Elmore, Avery Chase Elmore and Oakley Kane Elmore; and his caregivers, Marc Celestin, Ben Celestin and Timothe Andy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Malone Funeral Home (325 Malone Ln, Grayson, KY 41143). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
