She was predeceased by : her parents, Joner Whitt and Sible Shearer Whitt; her husband Joe Ward; her siblings, Earl Whitt, Hazel Harrison and Millie Mayo; and her nephews, James Earl Rice, Ercel Rice and Everett Rice.
She is survived by : her sister Mary L. Griffith; and her nieces and nephews, Eddie Roberts, Dennis Whitt, Rosa Green, Joy Hamilton, Beverly Nangle, Linda Bush, Shirley Bowing and Janie Salmon. She is also survived by extended family, friends, and neighbors.
