He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Ed" Johnston and Flora Bell Hay Johnston; his daughter Candace Leann "Candy" Johnston Wiler; his parents-in-law, Robert E. Bowling, Sr. and Deanna Kay McDavid Bowling; and his brother-in-law Robert "Bobby" Bowling, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Ann Bowling Johnston; his daughter Lisa Adams (Rodney) of Grayson; his grandchildren, Chandler Adams (Morgan), Caden Adams (Addey), Cason Adams, Kirstin Fannin (Justin) and Bradley Wiler; his great grandchildren, Easton Wiler and Davis Chandler Adams; his sister Koneta Littleton (Tim) of Grayson; his sisters-in-law, Teresa Stamper (Pat) and Crystal Limings (Johnnie Dickerson); his nibling Kaylee Archey (Austin); his great-nephew Abram Archey; and his nieces and nephews, Gabe Limings, Lafe Limings, Andrea Hackworth, Robbie Stewart and Stephen Holbrook.
