She was predeceased by : her parents, David Davis and Marguerite Stafford Davis; her daughter Dr. Jamie Rachelle Coates; and her brothers, David Davis and Keith Davis.

She is survived by : her husband James Darrell Coates; her daughter Julia Marie Marting (Brendon) of Dayton, OH; her sister-in-law Phyllis Davis of Clearwater, FL; and her close friends, Tonda and Amon Yates of Grayson.
