He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Conn Mitchell and Bess Rodgers Mitchell of Wright's Care Home; his wife Sarah Cox Mitchell; his grandson Blake Mitchell; and his siblings, Bertha Anderson, Pansy Wright, Margarette Lego, Cytha Peacock, Clementine Longacres, Albert Mitchell, Crawford Mitchell, Victor Mitchell and Arthur Mitchell.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles Phillip Mitchell (Charlotte Scott) and Mike Mitchell (Ree Shanna); his grandchildren, Gabriel (Kara Mitchell) of Greensburg, Luke Mitchell of Greensburg, Parker Mitchell of Greensburg and Emily (Clint Gibbs); and his great grandchild Kaylor Gibbs of Richmond. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church (1891 Ebenezer Rd, Greensburg, KY 42743). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at the Ebenezer Cemetery.
