He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Abston and Ruby Spradling Abston; his wife Polly Nunn Abston; his sisters, Glynn (Donald), Joanna Abston Bucker and Imogene Abston Garrett; his brother-in-law Randall Garrett; and his stepdaughter Lucinda Edwards.
He is survived by: his daughter Pam Abston of Summersville; his sister Patricia; his siblings-in-law, Jerry Pinkston of Washington County, Geneva, Kathy, Belinda Abston and Tommy Buckner; his grandsons, Chris and Zack Hartman of Taylor County; and his stepgranddaughter Katrina (Michael Harman) of Larue County. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
