He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther VanArsdale and Lauline Jeffries VanArsdale; his sister Joann VanArsdale; and his siblings-in-law, Becky Bell, Era VanArsdale and Wayne Wright.
He is survived by: his daughter Crickett; his son-in-law Paul "Mel" Smith of Greensburg; his grandchildren, Paul Thomas Smith (Audrie) and Sydney Smith of Greensburg; his great grandchild Xavier Logan Smith of Richmond; his siblings, Robert VanArsdale of Greensburg and Rhonda Wright of Greensburg; and his friends, Nikki Curry, Annette Bagby, Connie Huston and Tom "Kool" Akin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church (698 Old Hodgenville Rd, Greensburg, KY 42743). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at the Greasy Creek Cemetery.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church or Greasy Creek Cemetery Fund which can all be made at the funeral home.
