She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Elzy and Jennie Ella Baker Lowery; her siblings, Boyce Lowery (Anna) and Trudy Crabb (Mike); and her son Jeff Abeln.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Harold Land; her children, Bobbi Cheryl Land McCarroll (Timothy E.) of Edmonton, KY and Jeffrey Michael Land (Lynn B.) of Louisville, KY; her grandchildren, Casey McCarroll of Memphis, TN, Tanner McCarroll of Memphis, TN, Thomas Land (Julie) of Cincinnati, OH and Jacob Land of Cincinnati, OH; her siblings, Debbie Lemons (Charles) of Columbia, KY and Sam Lowery (Roberta) of Louisville, KY; her daughter Janice Abeln; and her grandson Chase Abeln (Leah). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home (210 Greensburg St, Columbia, KY 42728). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Green River Hosparus or Taylor Regional Hospital Cancer Center.
