Ann Townsend Obituary
In loving memory of Ann Townsend (Greenup, Kentucky), who departed this world on December 6, 2025 at the age of 96. Ann leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Taylor Swango and LouEllen Dunn Swango; her husband Virgil Townsend; her siblings, Conley Swango, Gladys Daugherty, Emmanuel Swango, Lonnie Swango, William Swango and Wanda Catron; and her close friend Freida Harmon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Kendall (Richard) and Dorothy Ledger (Charlie); her grandchildren, Rick Kendall (Jessie), Mark Kendall (Jessica) and Katherine Meadows (Lundie); her great grandchildren, Ava, Natalie Kendall, Benjamin and John Kendall; and her close friend Vic Huston. She is also survived by two step grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Greenup First United Methodist Church (607 Main St, Greenup, KY 41144). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Greenup United Methodist Church (607 Main St, Greenup, KY 41144).
In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made to Greenup Meals on Wheels P.O. Box 382 Greenup KY 41144.
