With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Junior Rice of Greenup, Kentucky, who passed away on April 6, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Rice and Ruby Mae Saunders Rice; and his siblings, Brenda Sue Rice and Jackie Rice. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Shepherd Rice; his children, Dennis Rice (Jamie) of Lloyd, Kentucky and Charleen Carver of Sciotoville, Ohio; his siblings, Glenn Rice of Ashland, Larry Rice (Leona) of Ironton, Roger Rice (Betty) of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, Edgar Rice of Ironton, John Rice of Ashland, Kentucky, Hallie Traylor (Tom) of Argillite, Dorothy Rice of Grayson and Carol Ann Moore of Ashland, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Hannah Henson (John), Dakota Rice, Grayson Rice, Derrek Carver (Haleigh) and Taylor Frye (Bricen). He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to his wife Cathy Rice to help with funeral expenses.
