It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved David Allen (Greenup, Kentucky), born in Grayson, Kentucky, who passed away at the age of 69, on December 7, 2025. In the vast expanse of eternity, David shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid David farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kendall "Crow" Allen and Zola Sargant Allen; his wife Sharon Kay Carter Allen; and his brother Carl Allen. He is survived by: his daughters, Holly Michele Poindexter (David) of Ashland and Angela Dawn Johnson (Jeremy) of Raceland; his grandchildren, Quinton Johnson and Morgan Meade; and his brother William Joseph Allen (Angela Roush) of Paducah, KY.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wright's Funeral Home (1017 E Main St, Greenup, KY 41144). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations are requested to be made to Community Hospice in David's memory.
