He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Pete Archey and Noma Stephenson Archey Hailey; his wife Marilyn Adams Archey; and his siblings, Gene Thurman Archey, Harold "Bo" Archey, Kenneth Archey, Fred Archey, Larry Archey, Herma Lambert Fraley and Olive Archey.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Jeffery "P. J." Archey (Deena Johnson) of Lexington and Anita Archey Prince of Greenup, Kentucky; his half-sister Anna Punkin Miller (Lee) of Texas; his grandchildren, Jake Archey (Christina) of Atlanta, Megan Archey Shim (Jason) of Darien, Peter Archey (Raegan) of Austin and Nick of Greenup, Kentucky; his great grandchild Clara Shim; and his close friend Chris Griffith of Louisa, Kentucky. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reed Funeral Home (612 Main St, Greenup, KY 41144). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Greenup First Baptist Church (1116 E Main St, Greenup, KY 41144).
