Though Oretha may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Oretha touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father George; and her sisters, Bobbie Mays, Pat Johnson and Janice Workman. She is survived by: her husband Ralph David McCloud; her daughter Cheryl McCloud of Wurtland, Kentucky; her extended family Melvin "Bo" McDaniels Jr. of Greenup, Kentucky; her close friend Melinda Stewart of Wurtland, Kentucky; Olivia McDaniels, MaKenna McDaniels, Taylor McDaniels and Jayden McDaniels. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bellefonte Memorial Gardens (Flatwoods, KY 41139).
