He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Large and Nellie Horn Hale; his son Richard Matthew Dinguss; and his brothers, Cecil Large, Randal Hale and Joe Hale.
He is survived by: his wife Penny Osborne; his cousin Shannon (Anita Deirfield); his children, Derek Deirfield and Sara Quakenbush; and his siblings, Charlie Hale, Barbara Colagrosso (Johnny) of West Virginia and Rhonda Hamm of Greenup, Kentucky. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
