He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Clifton and Evelyn Jarrell Cox; and his siblings, Mickie Long, Joyce Phipps, Carolyn Jean Pruitt, Sharon Rice and Robert Cox Jr..
He is survived by : his wife Dorothy Lee Cook Cox; his daughter Krystal Anne Conley (Dusty) of Frankfort, Kentucky; his adoptive daughter Kimberly Dawn Cox Ford of Lexington, Kentucky; his step-children, James William Earl Moore (Rena’) of Canton, Ohio, Tammy Lee Moore Kidd (F. B.) of Flatwoods, Malinda Rene'Shannon of Catlettsburg and Stephanie Sue Harper (Micah) of Flatwoods, Kentucky; and his half-siblings, Johnny Cox (Kayla) of Hallettsville, Mike Popavich (Nina) of Snowflake, Arizona and Eileen Masters (Jim) of Riverton. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
