He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Ellis and Geraldine Caudill Barnett; and his brother Carl Wayne Barnett. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Stevens Barnett; his children, Brandon Barnett (Samantha Ferguson) of Huntington, Carrie Cox (Larry) of Catlettsburg, Valerie Stevens of Wayne and Krissy Stevens (Aaron) of Prichard; his sisters, Glenda Barrett of Greenup, Stella Emerson of Alabama and Belinda Barnett of Ashland, Kentucky; his grandchildren, James Wicker, Ariane Barnett, Brandon Barnett Jr., Dawson Barnett, Chelse Pelfrey, Austin Stevens, Caleb Meredith, Braxton Slone, Emmalee Meredith, Jac Meredith and Addi Stevens; and his great grandchildren, Emily Wicker, Blake Wicker and Amelia Slone.
