He was predeceased by : his parents, Erix Phillips and Opal Phillips; and his siblings, Lillian Richie, Marvine McMasters, Maxine Phillips, Caroline Phillips, Elroy Phillips and James Phillips.

He is survived by : his wife Brenda Joyce Phillips; his children, Ginger Pruitt, Tina Rodgers (Thomas), Shannon Miller (John) and Shane Phillips (Faith); and his brothers, Grant Phillips (Brenda) and Roger Phillips. He is also survived by Seven Grandchildren.
