It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Avonell Bentley of Grethel, Kentucky, who passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Bentley; her parents, Bert Akers and Octavia Hall Akers; her sons, Richie Dean and Jimmy Dwayne Bentley; and her siblings, Ishmael, Charlie, Mike, Anthony, Arnie Akers, Wanda Shepherd and Juanita "Teto" Reynolds.
She is survived by: her son Orville "Dougie" Bentley (Donna) of Grethel, KY; her sisters-in-law, Verbal Akers of Grethel, KY, Sola Akers of Grethel, KY and Faye Akers of Grethel, KY; and her niece Danita Evans of Grethel, KY. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:00 PM and at 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 4:00 PM. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at the Akers Cemetery.
