He is survived by: his wife Patricia Wireman Howard; his daughters, Angel Howard Marshall of Jackson and Jennifer Howard Collett of Salyersville; and his siblings, Lester Howard of Decoy, Rella Smith of Evanston, Martha Ferguson of Van Lear and Elizabeth Smith of Decoy. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel (900 Parkway Dr, Salyersville, KY 41465).
