He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Rankin and Flonie Lyons; his wife Aline Roby Rankin; his children, Roger, Pamila and Timothy Rankin; and his siblings, Gilbert, Albert, Robert Rankin, Louise Carwile, Virginia Rankin and Mable Stinnett.
He is survived by: his sister Birdie Teller of Hardinsburg, KY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home (198 Lawrence St, Brandenburg, KY 40108). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
