Elizabeth Sanders Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Sanders of Guthrie, Kentucky, born in Adams, Tennessee, who passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Audie Lee Brooksher and Lela McNeil Brooksher; her siblings, Richard Brooksher, Carlene Conquest, Margaret Neil Boyer, Nancy Woody and Betty Gayle Clinton; and her granddaughter Nicole Smithson.

She is survived by: her children, Sammy Sanders (Leanne) of Adams, Hershel Sanders, Jr. (Mary) of Elkton, Scott Sanders (Norma) of Clarksville, Tennessee and Rosemary Jenkins (E. J.) of Franklin, Tennessee; and her sister Mary Alice Callis of Adams, Tennessee. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the St. Jude Hospital.
