It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Lee Menees (Guthrie, Kentucky), who passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Menees, Jr. and Katherine Kennedy Menees; and his siblings, Robert Kennedy Menees and Rubye Menees Patch. He is survived by: his wife Laverne Gregory Menees; his children, James Gregory Menees (Kristi), Robert Lee Menees, III (Stacy) and Ellen Menees Smyth (Thomas); and his grandchildren, Brittany Menees Henderson (Vonte), Robert Alen Menees (Keisha), Anne Smyth, Caleb Menees, Molly Schmidt, Emma Smyth, Racheal Menees and Owen Menees. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home (216 Park St W, Guthrie, KY 42234). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at the Highland Cemetery East Park.
