We announce the death of Devouia Trent of Hallie, Kentucky, who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 78. Devouia will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Devouia’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Columbus Eldridge and Flora Cole Eldridge; and her brothers, Ray Dean Eldridge, Claude Eldridge, James Eldridge and Kenneth Eldridge.
She is survived by: her sons, John Keith Trent of Hallie and Walter William Trent of Hallie; her daughter-in-law Virginia Lynn Trent of Hallie; and her brother Dana Eldridge of Hallie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel (102 Main St, Whitesburg, KY 41858). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
