He was predeceased by: his parents, Hume Coffman Mahurin and Orrye Chandler Mahurin; his siblings, Geraldine Sadler, Alice Lagene Allen, Camilla Ray, James Edward "Buzz" Mahurin and Thornton Henry Mahurin; and his nephews, Mark Mahurin and Rick Mahurin.
He is survived by: his wife Madonna Hudson Mahurin of Hanson; his daughters, Laura Beth Mahurin Malone (Craig Morse) of Evansville and Anne Marie Mahurin Witten of Gaithersburg, Maryland; his grandchildren, Brandon Witten of Santa Cruz and Cruz Witten of Northfield, Minnesota.; his nieces, Sandra Mercier, Karen Porter, Diane Jones, Shelia Smith, Jill Simpson, Debbie Carter and Charlotte Zerfoss; and his nephew Terry Mahurin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hanson United Methodist Church (2740 Brown Badgett Loop, Madisonville, KY 42413). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at the Onton Cemetery (3301-3447 State Highway 147, Sebree, KY 42455).
