She was predeceased by: her parents, Londa Ashley and Alberta Ashley (Hall); her husband Jesse J. Barrett; and her siblings, Euretta Profitt, Readious, Miles, Dillard and James Ashley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jessica O'Keefe (Shane) and LaNell Barrett; her sister Elizena McElwain; her grandchildren, Rachael (Kyle), Jesse, Cassie (Jason) and Devyn (Brett); and her great grandchildren, Olivia, Landon, Riley, Grayson, Lovena, Weston and Adalyn.
