Curtis leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Curtis’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Curtis will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Chalmer and Mary Rains Browning; his wife Ramona Morrow Browning; his former wife June Mills Browning; and his daughter Jeannie Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Sue Ann Hicks (John) of Piqua, OH and Jeff Mills of Sunshine. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anderson Laws and Jones Funeral Home (114 S 3rd St, Harlan, KY 40831). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Resthaven Cemetery (3000 State Hwy 840, Baxter, KY 40806).
