With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Flossie Holmes of Harlan, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Flossie left this world on October 7, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiley Holmes and Lillie Victoria Short Holmes; her daughter Diana Montanaro; and her siblings, Beatrice Holmes, Delenia Witt, Celia Witt, Lana DeRosa, Glenda Woods, Kermit, Edgar, Connard and Wilmer Holmes.
She is survived by: her son Dennis Montanaro (Suzy). She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; as well as a host of other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Evarts Funeral Home (119 Bridge St, Evarts, KY 40828). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Short Cemetery.
