He is survived by: his parents, Margie Grace and Astor Smith; his wife Kimberly Brock Smith; his children, Amanda M. Barton of Gordon, Kentucky, Michael W. Smith of Gordon, Kentucky, Sarah M. Turner (Daniel) and Elvia Turner (Tim); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Barton, Abi Barton and Dakota Keith Barton; his siblings, Patricia Grit (Tonie) of Gordon, Kentucky and Thomas Smith (Linda) of Evarts, Kentucky; his nephews, Vincent Smith of Gordon, Jareth Smith (Marie) of Edinburgh and Jeremy Holden (Hannah) of Evarts, Kentucky; and his cousin Louise Turner of Harlan, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home (122 N Cumberland Ave, Harlan, KY 40831). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
