He is survived by: his wife Charlene; his children, Walter Perkins, Jr., Michelle Baker (Pearl), Renee Hammonds (Becky) and Wilma Gregg; his sister Ada Logan Perkins; his grandchildren, Karrie Gregg, Briona Gregg, Michael Billings, Brandon Creech, Tiffany Allen, Christian Halcomb and Dylan Begley; and his great grandchild Briella Creech.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home (122 N Cumberland Ave, Harlan, KY 40831). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Mount Pleasant (122 N Cumberland Ave, Harlan, KY 40831).
