He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus Allen and Octavia Sturgill Allen; his former wife Shirley Allen; and his son Avery Allen. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Tackett Allen; and his children, Suda Allen and John Sherman Allen. He is also survived by five Grandchildren and seven Great-Grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Betsy Layne Church of Christ. An entombment will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at the Annie E. Young Cemetery (4964 Chloe Rd, Pikeville, KY 41501).
