He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Smith and Evelyn May Jenkins Watts; and his siblings, Everett Lee Watts, Robert Collins Watts and Bonnie Helen Watts.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann McDowell Watts; his children, James Watts (Debra) of Mercer County, Donna Nelson (Terry) of Mercer County, Lisa Nelson (Jack) of Mackville and Bonnie Driskell (Mike) of Mercer County; and his stepson Kenny Nelson (Melissa) of Mercer County. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
