He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo; his daughters, Amy Friskney, Susan Harder (Paul) and Jessica Short (Brett); his grandchildren, Ethan, Samuel Harder, Caroline and Cate Short; his siblings, Denis Friskney (Connie) and Amy Feranec (Dennis); and his in-laws, Debbie Eberhart-Wilkerson (Russ), Diana Meadows (Mike) and Tom Sundstrom (Linda). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Doyle's memory to a cause close to his heart: supporting a village in Honduras.
