She was predeceased by: her stepfather James May; and her grandparents, Henry of Lexington and Clara Brumfield of Lexington. She is survived by: her parents, Debra Brumfield May of Lexington and Bobby Hunter of Lexington; her children, Olivia Lutz (Cory) of Cincinnati, Emma Hunter of Versailles and Cooper Hunter of Versailles; and her brothers, Shawn Hunter (Beth) of Indianapolis and Todd Hunter of Lexington. She is also survived by many cousins and several nieces and nephews.
