He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hall and Vonie Mae Cheak (Yocum); his siblings, Tom, Melvin, William Joel Cheak and Martha Hall Watts; and his grandson Jonah Andrew Hall Cheak.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Gayle Cheak (Pulliam); his children, Troy David Cheak (Michelle), Marsha Lyons (Mark) of Harrodsburg, Jerry Wayne Stratton (LaShannon) of Harrodsburg, Thomas DeWayne Stratton of Lexington, Anthony Scott Stratton (Brandy) of Berea and Brandon Scott Stratton (Danielle) of Lancaster; and his brothers, Robert Cheak (Annette) of Burgin and Richard Cheak of Burgin. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
