She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Lay, and Iris Watts Lay, Sr.; her daughter Carolyn; her son-in-law Gerald Hummell; her brother Lawrence Lay, II; and her nephew Lawrence Lay, III.
She is survived by: her children, Samuel Carr (Kathy) of Harrodsburg and Charla Pratt (Roger) of Harrodsburg; and her grandsons, Christopher Jordan Hummell, Kevin Patrick Lampson (Lydia Stamm) and Spencer Douglas Carr.
