He was predeceased by: his parents, Rollie Bishop and Lucille Bishop (Stokeley); and his son Robert Lewis Bishop II. He is survived by: his wife Paulette Stivers-Bishop (Anderson) of Harrodsburg, KY; his children, Dawn "Sissy" Stivers-Brown (Tom) of Paris, KY and Don Stivers (Patty) of Salvisa, KY; his sisters, Paula Curtis of Berea, KY, Donna Bond of Nicholasville, KY and Barbara Day of Nicholasville, KY; and his close friends, June Green, Ron and Bonnie Bearden.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel (345 E Lexington St, Harrodsburg, KY 40330). A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens (4915 Harrodsburg Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356).
