Though Donald Omer may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Donald Omer touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer O. Dayton and Miriam P. Dayton (Jones); and his brother Edwin Dayton. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn GeLarden; and his children, Dr. Keith Dayton (Donna) of Ellettsville, IN, Karen Bissey of Washington and Steve Dayton (Virginia) of Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington High School Athletic Department in Don's name—an institution he quietly and faithfully supported for many years (and where he played football!!).
