He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Stephens and Irene Wells Stephens; his sister Joyce Howard; and his granddaughter Heather Bickett. He is survived by: his wife Diane Leach Stephens; his children, Kathy Bickett (Steve) of Knottsville, Jamie Stephens (Tanja) of Louisville, Joe Michael Barnard (Kristina) of Beaver Dam and Wendy Russell (Rob) of Beaver Dam; his grandchildren, Katie Stephens, Cole Stephens, Chelsea Wathen (Tom), Eric Bickett, John Thomas Barnard, Grayden Michael Barnard, Jake Ryan Russell and Luke Russell; his sister Rebecca Stewart; and his nephew Mark Geary. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
