He was predeceased by: his father Herbert Velotta; and his brother Dennis Velotta. He is survived by: his mother Margaret Velotta (Hayden); his siblings, Cathie Velotta (Mary Ann), Diann Shock (Tim), Ron Velotta (Pat), Brenda Clark (Sy) and Jana Nedvidek; his children, David, Herbie, Jonathan (Jillian) and Jessica (Velotta); and his grandchildren, Gabrielle Velotta (David), Zoey, Jackson Luethi (Jessica), Jonah and Jane Velotta (Jonathan).

In lieu of gifts, Kenny's family ask that donations be made in his name to one of the following organizations: Nicky Hayden Memorial Foundation, American Stroke Association, and St. Stephen's Cathedral.
