James Ray Cole Obituary

We announce the death of James Ray Cole of Hawesville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 63. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cole and Flora Daisy Cole; and his sisters, Janice Kay Cole and JoAnn Sapp. He is survived by: his wife Lena Cole; his children, Jennifer Lucas (BJ), Jill Conder (Jeremy), Jamie Farris (Andy) and Jeremy Cole; his grandchildren, Dylan Lucas, Brandon Lucas, Makinnsey Conder, Haley Conder, Lacey Conder, Austin Conder, CJ Conder, Alexis Farris, Jaylen Farris, Andrew Farris, Jr. and Noah Cole; his siblings, Frankie Cole (Peggy), Dale Cole, Leroy Cole, Eva Patterson (Robert), Jeanette Conner and Debbie Mills (Timmy); and his pets, Max and Chloe. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gibson & Son Funeral Home (275 Court Square, Hawesville, KY 42348). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at the Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel (275 Court Square, Hawesville, KY 42348).
