Alice Schofield left this world on April 13, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Keller Whitaker and Bertha Slone Whitaker; her husband Richard Schenk; her siblings, James Keller Whitaker II and Ruth Ann Kelly; and her granddaughter Amanda Brooke.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Worley Day and Ronald Worley (Teresa); her grandchildren, Emily Ruxer (Keith), Courtney Spears (Cody) and Caitlin Day; her great grandchildren, Cameron, Layla, Windy Lee, Sunday Brooke, Levi and Solomon; and her friend Angie Slone.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cordia School (6050 Lotts Creek Rd, Hazard, KY 41701). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lotts Creek Community School.
