He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeff Hurley and Julia Walker Hurley; his daughter Vanna Napier; and his siblings, Tom, Paul, James Hurley, Dorothy Childs, Pansy Dixon, Thelma Couch, Lily Meadows and Lou Campbell.

He is survived by: his daughter Varlerie Goodson (Paul); his sister Betty Lotze; his son-in-law Sam Napier; his grandchildren, Kyle Wooton (Roxanne), Payton Wooton (Sarah), Savannah Napier and Taylin Goodson; and his great grandchildren, Lily, Sophie, Ryder and Kathryn. He is also survived by Nieces, Nephews.
