He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Collins and Opsie Collins. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Collins of Hazard, Kentucky; his children, Carl Collins (Barbara) and Elizabeth "Libby" Inserra of Hazard, Kentucky; and his brother Johnny Collins (Kathy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; also a host of nieces, nephews, church family and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home (301 E Main St, Hazard, KY 41701). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
