He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Garfield Deaton, Carrie, Andrew Hensley and Mary. He is survived by : his parents, Clarence Deaton and Karen Deaton of Hazard; his children, Brandon Deaton of Hazard, Austin Deaton (Jasmine), Haley Deaton (Logan) and Sierra Deaton (Mike); his brothers, Jerry Deaton (Kara) and Caleb Begley of Mt. Sterling, KY; his grandchildren, Holden Deaton, Lynix Deaton, Mckynzi Jent, Mckynli Jent and Stetson Deaton; his nieces, Natalie Slone (Johnathan), Alexa Bolling (Ben) and Karidyn Sparkman; his nephew John David Sparkman; his great-nieces, Ella Mae and Brinkley; his cousins, Angie Burris, John and Todd Deaton; and his close friends, Clinton Watts, Doug Day, Valerie and Charlie Popp.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home (301 E Main St, Hazard, KY 41701-1922). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
